Your Spectrum of Gardening Ideas
26 Jul
If you’ve got a yard that sometimes needs some trees pruned or tidied up, you may be intimidated by the thought of using a chainsaw to do the work yourself.
Because you fear the chainsaw your only option now are landscapers and tree-trimmers who will be walking away laughing with their pockets full of your money.
Chainsaws do not have to be scary, hard to use or bulky tools they are built to cater for specific jobs.
There are available for men and women smaller scaled down versions of chainsaws which are easier to handle and less powerful.
Different types of jobs and cuts can be achived by both gas versions and electric versions of chainsaws.
Smaller jobs suite electric ones because they are not as powerful. A novice will find it easier and less scary because the electic ones do not crank to start. Some offer both an extension cord and are rechargeable and some are just rechargeable or on a cord. Rechargeable and extension cord versions are both available in electric chainsaws sometimes they have both options.
If you need small limbs at a couple of inches thick cut and small yards trimmed then the electric ones are your perfect option. You may still need chain oil to keep the machine running smoothly, but you won’t need fuel. Making sure you purchase the correct weighted chainsaw will help you work better so when shopping hold them to get the feel of the weight. To get a feel of how different the engine is get a salesperson to turn it on for you. The largest most comfortable one should be purchased because you want to cover the biggest jobs that you will be undertaking.
If your yard work includes limbs that are four inches or more in diameter, or if you have a wooded section that you would like to clean out or where you sometimes need to deal with downed trees or limbs, then consider buying a gas model. Gas models can be bought later on down the track as you get used to the one you have and are in need of something stronger.
Many manufacturers sell chainsaws that are specifically designed for pruning, that is what they do. Pruning chainsaws are much more lighter than large chainsaws in fat the bars are just 14-inches and the engines are smaller making it easier on the upper body. Oil and gas powers them with the necessary chain oil as well. They are more powerful than their electric brothers and have a longer bar which determined how big a limb they are able to cut through. They do require cranking ability as well.
Follow the same procedures for selecting a gas-powered chainsaw if that is what you are looking for. Get one running by the salesperson so you can view for yourself how the weight will affect you and select an appropriate one. Holding a running chainsaw is always the best demonstration your could get.
Proper safety equipment must be worn when using any type of chainsaw and the equipment includes; safety glasses, leather boots and ankle protectors. A few lessons from an experienced chainsaw handles will give you the confidence and technique necessary for you to go and complete your own work.
