The durability of the tanning bed bulbs will last for many years if it is properly looked after. Mostly, people think that their bulbs has to be reinstate, but the real fact is that you just require to give the internal of the tanning bed a proper cleaning.
Normally the tendency of the tanning beds is it accumulates the dust easily, which can affect the UV rays that travels through the bulbs, thus it is necessary to clean your tanning bed bulbs at least once in a month.
Take the tanning acrylics off your tanning bed. The acrylics are the thick, clear sheets of plastic that you lie on when you tan. The tops of the acrylics are usually cleaned after every tanning session. You may have to unscrew these sheets at the corners of the bed, or they may pop or slide out.
Take out the tanning lamps. The tanning lamps are long, thin bulbs which look like fluorescent bulbs. Hence they have to be handled with care, but it can be taken out and then can be put back altogether with less difficulty. As soon you remove them lay the tanning lamps flat on top of the clean sheet. Do not support any bulbs upright.
Wipe down the bulbs with a clean, damp cloth. Make sure that you have wrung the cloth out thoroughly so that it is barely damp. Once you have cleaned a bulb, move it to the other clean sheet so that you are not laying it back down in the dirt. If your cloth gets too dusty, rinse and wring it out before wiping down more bulbs.
After wiping the bulbs replace it in the bed. You can screw the bulbs as gentle as possible like you usually do for any other bulbs. If you find any problem in fixing, then take help of an electrician so that you don’t have to bang the bulbs on the edge and eventually breaking them in pieces.
Place the acrylic back into the place. Get sure that you have cleaned the underside of the acrylics before you think of placing them back in place again.
As tanning beds accumulate quiet a lot of dust, it is better to clean each and every part, which includes the fans and the ballast tray which is under the bed, each time you wipe down the bulbs.
