I like to add fertilizer with extra potassium prior to blooming, as it helps increase yield...

Great tips, thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for the post.
I have wondered for years why my trees always have small apples.
In the spring I will try a few of your tips and see how it works out.

I would definitely agree that experimenting is the key. It took me an awful lot of experimenting to get my fruits to a decent size. Trial and error my friends!

Great post, I hate to be a little of topic but is there a fruit tree that you would recommend growing in a climate of Utah?

Been having this issue with my pear tree. I'm hoping next season she gives me nice big juicey fruit! The small ones are so bitter. Nice article.

What I tend to do is cut off the branches of the smaller fruits at the beginning so all the nutrition would go to the bigger fruits making that more bigger. Quality over quantity I guess.

It's hard to get decent fruit to grow here in Las Vegas. Olive trees do well, but the ones they planted you can't really eat the olives. My neighbor's Cherry tree usually has some decent cherries on it, but not that many. Any ideas?
